The Iowa O.H.V. Annual Meeting was held on January 20 at Marshalltown, Ia.  We woke up Sunday morning to -18 degrees.  The attendence was down some, because of the cold weather.

Our guest speaker was NOHVCC Executive Director, Russ Ehnes.  Russ gave us a slide show on what the National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council does and how it impacts the O.H.V. in Iowa.  It was very interesting.

President, Andy Kyner, presented the Marshalltown Club with the Club of the Year banner.  Brian Arrowood presented a plaque to the former city council member who went out of his way to help get the club and riding area to be what it is today. Service awards were presented to Dan Kleen, Andy Kyner, Chris McKean, David Downey, Steven Bowman, and Kathleen Moench for all they have done for O.H.V.  Dan Kleen presented Mike and Bonnie Alexander with the O.H.V.ers of the year award for all their help at events through out the year.  They belong to the North River Ridge Runners, the Des Moines River Ridge Runners, and the South Central Dirt Riders.  This year's Geno Award went to Brian Arrowood and Jim Allen for all they have done.

This year's plaques that were awarded, were made by the Iowa River OHV Club.  They did a wonderful job on them.  A big thank you to all of the businesses and people who donated the raffle prizes.  If you got one, please be sure to thank those that donated them.  A raffle was done for a fleece blanket that was made by Bonnie Alexander.  Dave Smith was the lucky winner.  An other raffle was done for the quilt that was hand made by Andy Kyner's grandma Dorothy.  Rick Williams was the lucky winner this year.

Please remember that all clubs need to get a tee shirt to her for next year's quilt ASAP.  Silent auction winners were; Helmet--Dave Smith, Tool Set--Bob Boldet, Helmet--Curt Rickets, Jersey--Tyler Humphery, Pullover--Curt Rickets, Nights Stay--Wayne Stalter, Ski Package--Dan Schipper, Larry Anderson Print--Wayne Stalter, OHV Pullover--Curt Rickets.
